Constantinos T. Chryssoulis (LL.B) is our co-founder and serves as Managing Director, CEO and Director since our inception in 2002. Born in Piraeus, Greece on the 5th of April 1954, Konstantinos was raised in Piraeus and Athens where he attended high school and later graduated from the Athens Law School. Concurrently, he attended seminars in ship finance, marine insurance, ship brokerage, shipping practice etc. and also served as Director in Orthonava Maritime Ltd, a Piraeus-based Greek shipping company with four (4) general cargo ships under management. Admitted to the Athens Bar Association in 1986, he relinquished his career as a lawyer to start Global Money Consultants S.A. in 1988, an international management consulting firm offering offshore services worldwide and Flags of Convenience S.A. in 1998, another international management consulting firm offering services to the international shipping community, such as ship registrations, marine insurance brokerage, marine consulting etc. In 2002 Konstantinos co-founded with Dimitrios K. Bistis CC Bulk Carriers Investments Limited to invest into shipping.
Dimitrios K. Bistis is our co-founder and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors, President, Director since our inception in 2002. Born in Athens, Greece on the 8th of March 1942, Dimitrios is the eldest of the two sons of the late Kimon Bistis, a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer, who is the co-founder and Governor of the ex-state owned Greek Telecommunications Company (OTE). He attended primary, secondary and high school in Athens and also the School of Mathematics & Physics, Department of Chemistry of the Athens University. In 1962-1964 he served as wireless and telecommunications engineer in NATO; in 1964-1985 as Product Manager, Deputy Marketing Director, Marketing Director of Carapistolis S.A., an international import/export & transportation company based in Athens, Greece; In 1978 he established Kenburn Holding Company in Luxembourg to manage his investment portfolio; In 1986 he established Inter-Alma, S.A.R.L. in Switzerland, an international trading company; In 1988 he established Inter-Alma (Hellas) Ltd as the Greek arm of Inter-Alma (Switzerland) with the same activities; In 1988 he co-founded and served as Vice-President and subsequently President of the Hellenic Franchise Association; In 1992 he co-founded and served as co-President of the First Athens Financial & Exhibition Conference; In 1993 he founded and served as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the the Foundation for the International Co-operation; In 1993 he founded and served as Chairman of the First New Business Forum 93; In 1995 he founded and served as Chairman of the Second New Business Forum & Exhibition 95; In 1998 he founded, and serves as President and Managing Director of the telecommunications company ALTA S.A.
Dimitrios Karapistolis is Member of the Board of Directors and served in this position since our inception in 2002. Born in Athens, Greece on the 25th of March 1945, Dimitrios attended primary, secondary and high school in Athens and obtained the Ordinary National Diploma in Engineering (with distinction) at the Bristol (UK) Technical College, the Bachelor in Engineering and the Master in Engineering at the University of Sheffield (UK). From 1970 to 1998 he served as General Manager, Managing Director of Athanasios Carapistolis S.A. (a Greek transportation company specializing in the transportation of caustic liquid chemicals). Since 1998 is General Manager, Member & Secretary of the Board of Directors of ALTA S.A. (a Greek telecommunications company).
Nikolaos Gardikiotis is member of the Board of Directors and served in this position since our inception in 2002. Born in Athens, Greece, Nikolaos attended primary, secondary and high school in Athens and graduated from the Hellenic Naval Academy (BS in Naval Engineering) in 1963. In 1969, he attended Hellenic Navys General Education School and between 1979-1984 he attended the Athens Graduate School of Economic & Business Sciences (BS in Economics). In 1986 he attended the Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management, USA. He has a 33-year career in the Hellenic Navy until his retirement (March 1992) as Commodore under the following positions: (1) As Ship Superintendent aboard US Naval ships in Philadelphia, USA Naval Shipyard (1975-1976); (2) As Assistant Naval Attache to the Greek Embassy in Washington, USA (1985-1987); (3) As Engineer Officer on Hellenic Navys various ships (mine layers, destroyers etc) for 12 years; (4) As Engineer Officer in Hellenic Navys Shipyards (1970-1973 & 1979-1981); (5) As Captain Director of the D2 Directorate of the General Navy Staff Technical Branch (1987-1990); (6) As Captain/Chief Engineer of the Hellenic Navys Fleet Command (1990-1992). After his retirement from the Hellenic Navy he served as head of Operations/Technical Department of Tony Travel & Agency LTD (Lelakis Group of Companies) supervising the deployment/technical support of seven (7) cruise ships of the group (1992-1999).
Spyridon D. Tsamaidis is member of the Board of Directors and served in this position since our inception in 2002. Born in Athens, Greece, Spyridon attended primary, secondary and high school in Athens and graduated from Merchant Marine Academy (Hydra) in 1964. Additionally, he studied Business Administration at Deree American College in Athens (1991-1994). He also attended various seminars during his career on Quality Management Systems (ISM/ISO), Implementation & Auditing. He obtained Certificate of Master (A Class, Ocean Going Vessels) in 1973. From 1964 to 1977 he served (from cadet to master) on various ships of the Stavros Livanos Group of Companies fleet (tankers ranging from 15.000 TDW to 220.000 TDW) and from 1977 to 1990 as master on various ships of the Golden Union Company (bulkers/cement carriers/car carriers/general cargoes/OBOs of various sizes ranging from 10.000 DWT to 135.000 DWT). His office experience includes Silver Carriers (operations/Tankers superintendent) in 1990; Eastern Mediterranean (operations superintendent) between 1990-1994; Seaworld Management & Trading (operations superintendent) between 1995 1996; Vanimar Inc. (operations/general manager) between 1996-1997; Bariba Corporation (operations manager) between 1997-1990. Spyridon also is a Certified ISM. Auditor, participating in various ISM Code/ISO implementations since 1993.
